Welcome to the homepage of The Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee Theatre Research Institute (TRI) of The Ohio State University. The TRI is administered jointly by The Ohio State University Libraries and The Department of Theatre. The Lawrence and Lee Institute collects, preserves, maintains, and makes accessible research materials pertaining to performing arts, with a primary emphasis upon live performance. The Institute serves as an archive for performers, playwrights, designers, producing organizations, and theatre companies, among others. It participates in national and international organizations, prepares exhibitions of research materials, and sponsors conferences and programs. All of the Institute's activities are intended to encourage a broad range of research into performance.
