BRADFORD LANTERN SLIDES IMAGE GALLERY This collection of lantern glass slides was hand-colored by Joseph N. Bradford, former Ohio State professor and University architect. In 1890, Professor Bradford started the first course in photography under the Department of Architecture and Drawing. He became an emeritus professor in 1932 and became responsible for the Photo History unit, under the Department of Photography. It was at this time that he began compiling this collection, which depicts, in color, life at the growing University. The photo gallery contains a sampling of the more than 100 slides in the Bradford Lantern Glass Slide collection. Please note the conditions of use and gallery navigation instructions below prior to viewing the photos. Select the image or text below to go to the gallery. |
