Welcome to The Ohio State University Archives. The mission of the The Ohio State University Archives is to serve as the official memory of the University. The Archives identifies, preserves, and makes available the documentation of continuing and historical value in documenting the University. In addition, the University Archives Building houses the Byrd Polar Research Center Archival Program and the John Glenn Archives. Student records, such as transcripts, are available through the Registrar's Office, not the Archives. NOTE: The University Archives stacks will be closed for repair from Monday, September 8 through Friday, September 12. The University Archives reference room will still be open for research. However, material in the stacks will not be available. For more information, please call 614.292.2409.
